The Terrific Kids program represents a way to
acknowledge students who have significantly improved their school
attendance through a school year. Kiwanis and those in the educational
community recognize the importance of regular school attendance and
academic success. Redlands Noon Kiwanis was able to acknowledge the three
schools who have had the most significant improvements in attendance for
the 2000-01 school year- Franklin, Lugonia and Victoria Elementary
Schools. As one of the student honorees stated,
if you don't go to school, you miss out! Kiwanis didn't want to miss out
on the opportunity to acknowledge their achievement of improved school
attendance and
we think all students honored are indeed,
"Terrific Kids." |
